2017 Fall Conference

ACM Mid-Southeast Conference

November 9 – 10, 2016

About the Conference 
The conference will begin Thursday, November 9, with registration from 4 to 6 p.m. in the hotel lobby.  A Hospitality Suite will be provided on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. and will adjourn at 7:30 p.m. for dinner (cost separate from conference). Registration will continue on Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the hotel lobby. The keynote address will begin at 8:15 followed by paper presentations. Presentations will continue after lunch. At the conclusion of the paper presentations, there will be a brief ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Mid-Southeast Chapter business meeting. The conference will conclude Friday evening with a social hour in the Hospitality Suite and then the conference banquet which will include the presentation of awards for student papers.

All presenters and authors must pre-register for the conference.

We are looking for anyone who would like to help organize and run this year’s conference. We will need help with session chairs, judges, and for the first time this year paper reviewers.  If you can help out in any of these areas please contact the conference chair, Greg Kawell: (gakawell@samford.edu) or Robert Lowe (robert.lowe@maryvillecollege.edu).

Hotel Accommodations

Attendees should contact the Glenstone Lodge directly at 865-436-9361 or 1-800-362-9522 to make reservations. Cost for the rooms is $89. CORRECTION $91.00  per night.  You should identify yourself as “Association for Computing Machinery”. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Glenstone Lodge with a cutoff date of October 23, 2017. Any reservations after that date will be provided on a space available basis and the rates are subject to change. Conference dates are November 9–10, 2017; presentations are on the 10th.

If you would be willing to serve as peer reviewer please contact Robert Lowe (robert.lowe@maryvillecollege.edu ) as soon as possible. This is a very important part of the conference and we need many helping hands.
